Announcing new editorial services page
I’m excited to announce that I have a new page on my website, Editing!
It’s a truism that the volume of freelance work ebbs and flows like the tide, but it’s equally true that it’s not as predictable, regular, or reliable as the tide. For the last couple years, I was able to rely on a single source of work as technical editor for Steyer Content, editing technical blogs for AWS. Lately, that tidal flow has been a bit low, so I’m branching out my offerings.
I’m available for copy editing and technical editing for nonfiction. My strengths are editing AI-assisted writing to improve logical flow, clarity, and conciseness, refine it for natural voice and originality, and to make sure complex information is complete and accessible.
AI tools have made content generation easier than ever. But AI tools show an overreliance on vague and clichéd writing and formatting crutches like bullet points. I excel at catching nuances, context, and tone that these tools miss.
I’m also experienced at helping writers who use English as a second language. I can help you elevate your ESL writing so it communicates your thoughts clearly and accurately.
I work with a cross-section of writers and topics, including:
Academics & researchers
English as a second language writers
Independent technical authors & consultants
Software development companies & SAAS businesses
E-learning & online course providers, test prep
I’m fast, affordable, and reliable, and it’s easy to get started working with me. Head over to my Editing page and fill out the contact form. It’s just a couple questions that give me an idea of what you have in mind. From there, we can have a phone call to discuss your project and firm up the details. I always give a quote up front, so you don’t have to worry about end-of-project surprises or getting locked in to something that’s not right for you.
